How to Find Your Lebanese Ring Size at Home

Wrap a narrow non-stretch paper strip around the intended finger, mark the overlap and measure the length in millimetres. In the common Lebanon / EU system, that inside circumference is the most useful size reference.

Measure for the finished ring, not only a thin sample

Two rings worn together cover more skin and can feel tighter than either ring alone. Ask to try the engagement ring and wedding band together, or use a sizing set that matches the planned width.

For a surprise proposal, measuring an existing ring can help only when it is worn on the same finger and hand. Tracing the outside of a ring, guessing from body size or borrowing a ring from another finger is unreliable. A trusted friend or family member may help arrange a discreet professional measurement.

Before engraving names, dates or Arabic lettering, confirm the final size and the jeweller's resizing limits. Resizing after engraving can disturb spacing, decorative patterns and stone alignment.

Ring size describes fit; it does not prove metal purity, gemstone quality or value. International jewellery notation commonly expresses gold in karats or fineness parts per thousand. For example, 18-karat gold is commonly associated with a 750 fineness mark, while sterling silver is commonly associated with 925. Therefore, do not assume that a visible stamp by itself proves authenticity. Ask the seller to explain each mark, provide the stated purity and weight in writing, identify any independent certificate or laboratory report, and issue a detailed receipt.
