Wrap a narrow non-stretch paper strip around the intended finger, mark the overlap and measure the length in millimetres. In the common Morocco/EU system, that inside circumference is the most useful size reference.

When shopping for a ring in Morocco, especially from an international or online retailer, a product page may list sizes such as 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 or 60. These are European-style circumference numbers rather than US numbers or UK letters. A size 50 therefore does not mean US size 50; it represents an internal circumference close to 50 mm.

The phrase taille de bague means “ring size” in French. A jeweller may ask for the tour de doigt or circonférence du doigt, meaning finger circumference, or the diamètre intérieur de la bague, meaning the ring's inner diameter. In Arabic, useful equivalents are مقاس الخاتم, محيط الإصبع and القطر الداخلي. Giving both the intended EU size and the millimetre measurement reduces confusion when ordering custom jewellery.

Not every shop carries every whole number. Some brands offer only even sizes, while independent jewellers may make half sizes or adjust the finished ring.
