How to Measure Ring Size in Pakistan at Home
Use millimetres whenever possible. A paper-strip measurement gives finger circumference, while an existing ring gives inner diameter. The calculator converts either result into the systems commonly shown by Pakistani and international jewellery sellers.
Choose the Exact Finger
Measure the finger and hand where the ring will actually be worn. Left and right hands can differ.

Keep the strip comfortably snug at the finger base and make sure the loop can pass over the knuckle.

Pakistan Seller Chart A
This convention appears on Al Noor Gems and several Pakistan retail listings. The calculator labels it clearly as “Chart A”.

CM to MM
Example: 5.70 cm circumference = 57.0 mm.
MM to CM
Example: 18.14 mm diameter = 1.814 cm.
Diameter to Circumference
Example: 18.14 mm × 3.1416 ≈ 57.0 mm.

US Size
Many Pakistan sellers use US size as the order size.
EU / ISO
EU/ISO 57 corresponds approximately to 57 mm inside circumference.

Why two Pakistan columns? Verified Pakistan jewellery guides use different local-number mappings. Chart A follows the Al Noor-style mapping; Chart B follows the GK Jewelers-style mapping. These are seller conventions, not a single national standard. The millimetre columns are the safest information to share with the shop.
Choose the finger and hand
Measure the exact finger on which the ring will be worn. A right-hand ring finger can differ from the left-hand ring finger, and a dominant hand may be slightly fuller. For a bridal set, consider how the engagement ring and wedding band will sit together.
Use non-stretch paper or a proper finger gauge
Cut a narrow paper strip and wrap it around the finger base. It should touch the skin without squeezing. Avoid elastic thread because it can stretch or tighten and produce an inaccurate circumference.
Check the knuckle
The loop must pass over the knuckle with gentle resistance. A ring that fits the finger base but cannot pass the knuckle is too small. When the knuckle is much larger than the base, professional sizing is safer.
Mark the overlap and measure in millimetres
Use a fine pen, lay the paper completely flat and measure from the starting edge to the mark. Enter the result as finger circumference in millimetres. Do not confuse circumference with diameter.
Repeat and send the complete result
Take at least three measurements under normal conditions. Send the jeweller the US or UK/EU label plus the physical measurement—for example, “US 8, 57 mm circumference, 18.14 mm diameter.”
Select a ring that fits the correct finger
Use a ring already worn comfortably on the intended finger. A ring from another finger, hand or person may give the wrong result.
Measure the inside opening only
Place the ring flat and measure straight across the widest internal point through the centre. Do not include the metal edges. Record the diameter to one decimal place or better.
Rotate the ring and check again
Measure at a second angle. If the two results differ, the ring may be slightly oval or the ruler may not have crossed the true centre. A calliper or jeweller's mandrel is more reliable.

Verify Print Scale Before Using Any Printable Ring Sizer
Print at 100% or “Actual Size”. Do not use “Fit to Page”, “Shrink” or automatic scaling. After printing, measure the line below with a physical ruler. It must be exactly 50 mm. If it is not, the printout cannot be trusted for ring sizing.
Hot Weather
Hands can feel fuller in heat. Measure when your fingers feel normal, not after intense outdoor activity.
Cold Conditions
Very cold hands can temporarily measure smaller than their normal everyday fit.
Wide Bands
Wide wedding bands cover more skin and can fit differently from a narrow sizing ring.
Large Knuckles
The ring must pass the knuckle while remaining secure at the base.
Stretchy String
Elastic material can change length and create an incorrect reading.

Ask which Pakistan size chart the jeweller uses
The phrase “Pakistani ring size” is not enough by itself because local charts can map the same US size to different Pakistan numbers. Ask the Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi or online seller to show their chart and confirm your inner circumference or diameter in millimetres.
Use the seller's own chart for the final order

Give custom goldsmiths complete information
For a custom gold, silver or gemstone ring, write the size system and dimensions together. A useful instruction is: “US size 7.5, approximately 55.7 mm inner circumference and 17.73 mm inner diameter.” The goldsmith can then confirm the result with a finger gauge before manufacturing.
Check resizing and exchange policies
Before paying for a custom or imported ring, ask whether resizing is included, whether courier charges apply and which designs cannot be altered. Plain bands are often easier to resize than eternity rings, heavily engraved rings or settings with stones around the entire shank.
Measure again for engagement and wedding rings
High-value jewellery deserves professional confirmation. Measure on more than one day, compare a comfortable existing ring when available, and tell the jeweller the final band width. A wide bridal ring can require a different fit decision from a thin sample gauge.
Do not choose from an average alone
Average ring-size ranges can help with a low-risk fashion ring, but they cannot replace the wearer's measurement. Finger shape, knuckle size, hand dominance, climate, band width and comfort preference all affect the correct fit.

Why Pakistan ring-size numbers can be confusing
Pakistan's jewellery market combines local manufacturing, imported fashion jewellery and international e-commerce. A customer may see a US number on one website, a Pakistan number on another, a UK letter on an imported ring and a direct millimetre measurement from a goldsmith. Even two Pakistan-based charts may assign different local numbers to the same physical ring. The safest approach is to begin with the actual inner circumference or diameter and treat all named sizes as conversions.
Finger circumference and inner diameter are different measurements
Finger circumference is the distance around the finger where the ring sits. Inner diameter is the straight distance across the empty opening of a round ring. Circumference is approximately diameter multiplied by 3.1416. A 57 mm circumference is not a 57 mm diameter; entering the wrong measurement type would produce a completely incorrect result.
Why millimetres should be written on the order
Ring sizes change over small intervals, so millimetres communicate the physical requirement clearly. Writing “18.14 mm inside diameter” gives the seller a measurable target.
