Australian and New Zealand ring sizes use the same alphabetical system โ complete conversion chart with US, EU, Japan sizes, diameter in mm, and circumference
Both Australia and New Zealand use the UK alphabetical ring sizing system (A to Z+3). This means an Australian size N is exactly the same as a New Zealand size N โ no conversion is needed between AU and NZ. You only need to convert when shopping from the US, EU, or Japan.
Uses the UK Wheatsheaf alphabetical system โ sizes run from A (smallest) through Z+3 (largest). Half sizes are available in some ranges (e.g. Nยฝ).
Also uses the UK Wheatsheaf alphabetical system โ identical to Australian sizing. Sizes run from A through Z+3. NZ jewellers and AU jewellers use the same size chart.

Approximately 1 cm wide and 10 cm long. A piece of non-elastic string or thread works equally well.
Wrap snugly around the base of the finger you want to size. Ensure it passes comfortably over your knuckle.
Use a pen to mark exactly where the strip meets itself โ this measurement is your finger circumference.
Lay the strip flat against a ruler and record the length in mm. Then enter it into the calculator above.
Find the closest value in the Circumference (mm) column to identify your AU / NZ ring size.
Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the finger you want to size โ not too tight, not too loose.
Place the ring on a ruler and measure straight across the inside opening in millimetres.
